About the Job
The Quality Assurance Manager will be accountable for developing, maintaining, and executing the Quality Management System within the organization.
Accountabilities:
- Oversee the Quality Management System, a diverse manufacturing and supply company.
- Ensure accurate and successful training of existing (and new) employees on the QMS program, ensuring ongoing compliance with SOPs, Work Instructions, Policies and Quality Directives.
- Work with existing and new suppliers to ensure compliance with supplier requirements. Perform initial supplier audits as needed.
- Ensure that purchased, manufactured and kitted products meet quality standards required for their intended use. This will require traveling to various Distribution and Manufacturing facilities utilized by PerfectVision.
- Partner with Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Partners, and Engineering to drive root cause of quality related issues in production and shipping. Develop Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Responsible for enforcing Quality Management System compliance and improvements to ensure consistent high quality goods with accurate and reproducible results.
- Assist in customer complaint and non-conformance investigations related to Manufacturing, Production and Quality Departments.
- Work with Engineering to ensure successful implementation of Engineering Change Management for both in-house as well as outsourced work.
- Maintain KPIs, develop and execute upon department goals, communicate the goals to the team, and hold the team accountable to those goals.
- Work with various internal and external groups to complete Corrective Actions with employees as necessary.
- Facilitate batch / lot record keeping
- Focus on Continuous Improvement with assigned projects to meet specified goals
- Collaborate with Engineering and Fabrication Teams to effectively improve the overall quality of Operations
- Inspect the final output, compare it to the requirements, and approve or reject the final products.
- Calibrate, validate, and maintain inspection equipment as needed.
- Manage Internal / External ISO9001 Audits
Requirements:
- Quality experience preferred such as working with established QMS systems.
- Strong focus on Quality and Customer Service.
- High Level of Integrity and personal responsibility.
- Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of Quality Standards (e.g. ISO) is an asset.
- Familiarity with Quality Tools and Methods required, (e.g. RCA, CAPA, SPC, DMAIC, PDCA, etc.)
- Experience working within a steel or industrial manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills (quick, creative, and proactive).
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight time constraints.
- Ability to work alongside and with your peers to achieve goals set forth by management.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Mastery of MS Excel is an asset.
- Position Location: Little Rock, AR
- Travel: Typical 25%, up to 75% as needed.
