Echo Lake Foods is a growing organization, seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This position requires a knowledgeable and professional individual who works well with all types of employees.
Responsibilities Include:
· Plan, direct, or coordinate quality assurance programs.
· Formulate or make changes to quality assurance policies and control quality of production efforts.
· Take part in audits and inspection.
· Holds team leaders and employees accountable for Good Manufacturing Practices.
· Ensures all products are sampled according to company policies.
· Responsible for regulatory scheduled inspections.
· Determine plant compliance with established sanitation regulations.
· Conduct plant audits.
· Develop and execute continuous improvement projects to grow quality focus among personnel.
· Create & Coordinate corrective & preventive action plans when necessary.
Experience and Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
· Knowledge of USDA regulations
· Knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP’s
· Experienced in HACCP, SQF, and QA procedures.
· Must have HACCP & FSMA PCQI certification
· Knowledge and experience of sanitation processes.
· Experience with directing and/or managing quality within a food manufacturing facility
· Experience or knowledge of microbiological analysis of food products is a plus.
