Job Title: Quality Inspector - Aerospace
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector for a client of ours in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet rigorous industry standards and customer specifications. This position involves inspecting parts, materials, and processes throughout the production cycle to maintain compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- First Article Inspections
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to verify part conformity.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to assess product specifications and ensure precision.
- Conduct inspections and audits based on NADCAP, AS9100, and ISO Quality Management Systems to maintain certification and ensure compliance with aerospace regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address any quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry.
- Proficient knowledge of NADCAP, AS9100, and ISO Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T principles.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical comparators.
