Summary
We’re on the hunt for a Software Quality Engineer to join our DTLA team. If you are the type of person that is always pushing the limits of any application and always on the lookout for potential bugs, then please read on.
With our vast software testing skills, we work to test various different applications with automation in mind. With a number of different technologies currently in use there is an opportunity to work with these as well as come up with creative ways of creating automated tests to ensure what is developed is delivered with the highest quality. An individual coming into this role should be well versed in the software development life cycle as well as the different software quality testing methodologies. Our ideal candidate is a proactive go-getter that can seek and gather information quickly and effectively, working well independently and as part of a team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Have a huge impact in our first launch into the Asia region right from the start
- With your ability to quickly adopt and Japanese language proficiency and flexibility around ongoing support along with QA expertise, you would be a key member in helping AXS achieve next level of quality and gain more clients in Asia market
- Perform both white box and black box testing to verify products meet or exceed specifications and quality objectives
- Take part in requirements analysis, test planning activities, test case automation and execution of critical test cases/scripts required to ensure that the software meets business requirements on Agile team alongside development
- Functional Testing levels may include application, integration and acceptance testing; may also include non-functional testing such as performance, volume, load and fallback, as well as localization testing
- Find, trace, and thoroughly identify defects; generating defect reports; working with engineers to help troubleshoot and resolve defects; and verifying corrective actions
- Verify builds for release both manually and via automation
- Provide accurate and timely status reports of current work progress
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- BS/MS and/or 3 to 5 years of experience in computer science or related subject matter/experience
- 3+ years of QA automation experience
- Experience testing Web, APIs and data
- Experience with .Net applications
- Strong experience with open-source test automation tools
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Release Management
- Experience with OOP languages (C#, Perl, Ruby, Python, Java) and automation frameworks/harnesses
- Broad knowledge of QA methodologies
- Demonstrated team player with good communication skills
- Experience with Agile (Scrum and Kanban)
