As a Purchasing Inventory Control Manager you will:
- Lead and manage the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Plan and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory costs.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and expedite deliveries, resolving any potential delays or issues.
- Streamline procurement processes through automation and technology enhancements.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and other departments to forecast demand and ensure accurate inventory planning.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles within a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, data analysis).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
