Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Public Affairs Program Manager in Anaheim , CA.
Manages and administers a broad range of department projects and initiatives. Maintains inter-departmental collaboration on department projects. Helps to ensure agency-wide compliance with campaign and electoral policies and best practices. Provides internal and external oversight and support to help ensure a clear C3-C4 delineation in all aspects of department projects, outreach, and communications. The Senior Vice-President of Public Affairs manages and maintains a functioning and engaged C4 Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties, and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists. There are 3 key components, as follows:
General Project Management:
- Manages and administers a broad range of complex and priority department projects and initiatives including the development of critical paths, timelines, etc.
- Maintains inter-departmental collaboration on department projects to help ensure efficiency, progress, and closure.
- Manages and provides oversight of the Public Affairs Administrative Assistant position.
C4 Board Management:
- With the Senior Vice-President of Public Affairs, manages and maintains a functioning and engaged C4 Board of Directors.
- Ensures the Board is aware and in compliance with all board policies and best practices including the Conflict of Interest policy.
- Provide support for the Board Nominating Committee and board recruitment efforts.
Campaign & Electoral Compliance:
- Ensures agency-wide compliance with campaign and electoral finance laws, policies, and best practices.
- Ensures department compliance with PPFA accreditation standards.
- Provide internal and external oversight and guidance to ensure a clear C3-C4 delineation in all aspects of department projects, outreach, and communications.
- Maintains working knowledge of laws governing electoral and campaign finance law.
- Monitors and updates grant agreements, resource-sharing documents, and other documents between PPOSBC and the CAF to ensure PPOSBC’s legal status as a 501 (c) (3) organization is protected at all times.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Provide general support to the Senior Vice-President and/or Director of Public Affairs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in public affairs, project management, and/or electoral campaign work.
- Experience and/or knowledge of campaign finance laws preferred.
Supervisory Experience:
- Excellent organizing and planning skills with emphasis on detail.
- Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including training and/or team-building skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
Agency Standard Requirements:
- Strong commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service is required.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, rigorous environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Must demonstrate high-level computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Electronic medical records experience may also be required.
- This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
- Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPOSBC locations and by all PPOSBC employees, and supporting these critical services is an essential job duty and fundamental responsibility of all employees.
