Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to strategy sessions for assigned proposals.
- Interpret and communicate technical and management requirements from Federal Government solicitations to executive management.
- Manage the entire proposal development lifecycle, adapting processes to unique opportunity demands.
- Independently plan and oversee the proposal preparation process, identifying necessary details and staffing.
- Ensure team alignment with and execution of the written win strategy.
- Collaborate with BD/Proposal team, Business Leads, Technical Leads, and SMEs to craft compliant proposals that articulate a winning strategy and compelling solutions.
- Develop proposal templates, outlines, and compliance matrices.
- Establish and manage proposal schedules, maintaining progress visibility.
- Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate proposal meetings and reviews.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads and SMEs to gather information and write proposal sections.
- Utilize interpersonal and interviewing skills to collect information from team members and synthesize it into a cohesive and persuasive final product.
- Ensure proposals are appropriately scoped, evaluate assumptions, identify risks, assess costs, and meet all requirements.
- Edit and format documents for clarity and professionalism.
- Develop a plan for final production cycles and allocate necessary resources.
- Support additional duties such as BD/capture activities, pipeline monitoring, market research, technical writing/editing, white paper development, and enhancing proposal libraries.
- Contribute to organization-wide efforts to enhance proposal development tools and templates.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting federal proposals.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities essential for coordinating and leading meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exhibit the capability to manage teams of diverse sizes and technical proficiencies.
- Display a thorough, detail-oriented, and organized approach, coupled with excellent time management skills and prioritization abilities.
- Showcase excellent multitasking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Must reside within the DC, MD, VA region as position requires employee to come in 1 time a month at HQ.
Nice to Have
- Formal proposal training and/or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP, PMP)
- Knowledge of federal bid process and requirements and skills in analyzing RFP requirements
- Knowledge of Proposal Development methodologies

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
