Position Overview: Reporting to a Director of Asset Management, the Property Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of assets in New York City. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success and growth of a dynamic real estate management firm.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, including leasing, tenant relations, rent collection, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of property maintenance and tenant satisfaction.
- Coordinate and supervise property maintenance and repair projects, including development and rehabilitation construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with leasing agents to market and lease available units, conduct property tours, and negotiate lease agreements with prospective tenants when required.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular property inspections and assess property condition, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual property reports to senior management, providing insights into property performance, financial metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of property management strategies and initiatives to optimize property performance and enhance resident satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of related experience working for a mid-size or large regional real estate management firm, with a focus on high-end residential properties and/or mixed-use assets.
- Strong understanding of property management principles, leasing practices, and maintenance operations.
- Experience overseeing development and rehabilitation construction projects preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
