Atrium is partnering with a private real estate and development company in Orlando that is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $70k
Position Overview:
The Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records and general accounting for a portfolio of properties. The Property Accountant will be working alongside the AP department to ensure all property bills are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:
- Handle accurate coding of invoices, expense accounts, vouchers, and check requests.
- Document daily cash activity and perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Manage daily cash position for assigned properties.
- Enter financial transactions via journal entries.
- Keep detailed balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations.
- Execute month-end closing financial packets for the Controller to review.
- Support the controller in carrying out variance analyses and P/L reporting.
- Keep detailed records of accounting procedures and SOPs.
- Assist Tax Supervisor with 1099 preparation at the end of the year.
Qualifications for the Property Accountant:
- Experience performing accounting for multiple entities and experience in intercompany transactions.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP accounting systems.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
