About the Job
Do you have experience establishing horticultural propagation processes and an eye for detail? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Propagation Specialist. Read on to see if you could be a potential fit for this opportunity.
Starting wage range: $18.00-21.00/hr. depending on qualifications. This position is eligible for $2/hr. differential pay while working at our Ault production facility.
This position is a regular (non-seasonal), non-exempt, and full-time; hours may vary depending on the season and needs of the business but will typically range from 30-40 hours a week.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines for Production propagation operations.
- Monitor and adhere to quality standards for plant growth from seedlings to maturity.
- Implement pest management strategies to prevent and control pests and diseases.
- Establish and maintain data collection systems to track and analyze quality control metrics.
- Collect and analyze data on plant growth, health, yield, and other relevant parameters.
- Prepare regular reports on quality control performance and provide recommendations for process enhancements,
- Produce quality plants from seed, cuttings, and division.
Position Requirements, Education and Experience:
- Capable of extended physical labor in a variety of weather conditions.
- Two years related experience required.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards of production operations including plant propagation and pest control.
- Pesticide applicator's license required within 90 days of hire.
- Must possess reliable transportation and willingness to drive to Ault production facility as needed.
