We are currently seeking a Structural Project Engineer to support our NYC operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience related to the design and analysis of various building types (experience with private residential projects would be considered a significant asset) and a strong desire to advance their knowledge and technical skill set as part of a growing team.

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Acting as liaison to Clients and Project Managers.
• Assisting with business development and working to promote Silman's growth and brand recognition in Florida.
• Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. or S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required, with private residential projects experience preferred.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.

As part of our commitment to pay equity, the general compensation range for this position is: $41.83-45.67/hr.
