We are currently looking for a Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This Project Manager position in Engineering and Construction project teams will focus on facility engineering primarily for natural gas compression, measurement, storage, and processing. It is preferred that the applicant have some experience with liquids and chemical facilities such as pump stations, steam systems, and processing for brine, freshwater, ethylene, butane and other petrochemical applications. Responsibilities will include all phases of project execution and design including preliminary project scope development, front end engineering, implementation of technical design for FERC and other regulatory filing requirements, detailed design, construction and commissioning. The role will be supported with various internal and external resources for engineering, design, construction and commissioning support. The applicant should have good communication skills and be able to work well with a large team of people spread out across the pipeline system. The role requires frequent (1-2 times per month) short term travel (1-3 days) with infrequent (1 time per year) long term travel (2-4 weeks with travel home on weekends provided).
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Technical knowledge of natural gas midstream transmission pipeline and storage facilities.
- Experience in managing different types of compression projects in both brown and greenfield installations.
- 5-10 years of project management experience in the above
- Demonstrated ability to work with other functional groups on projects and initiatives.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organization, prioritization, and time management s kills. Self-driven and reliable.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with midstream petrochemical liquid facilities for transmission, measurement, or storage.
- Experience with natural gas treatment facilities such has dehydration and sour gas treatment.
- Technical knowledge of gas transmission equipment and facilities.
- Familiarity with NEC code requirements.
- Licensed Professional Engineer
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelors of Science in any applicable Engineering discipline.
