Description
Role Overview:
The IT Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of IT projects within established deadlines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver projects that meet the organization's strategic objectives and drive technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure project feasibility and alignment with organizational objectives.
Project Execution and Monitoring: Manage project execution according to the established plan, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate and lead project team members, providing guidance, support, and direction.
Conduct regular project status meetings, report progress to stakeholders, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Monitor project performance, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
Resource and Risk Management:
Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to support project implementation.
Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to optimize project efficiency.
Proactively identify project risks and develop risk management strategies to minimize their impact.
Implement and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, addressing concerns and obtaining necessary approvals.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, promoting effective communication and resolving conflicts.
Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluation.
Post-Project Evaluation:
Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.
Document and share project outcomes, best practices, and recommendations for future projects.
Provide input and expertise in developing IT strategies, roadmaps, and project portfolios.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, successfully delivering complex IT projects, including operating system upgrades.
PowerPoint experience
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, and technology trends.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within strict deadlines.
PMP certification or other relevant project management certifications are desirable.
