PROJECT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and administering the VIP Interior Cabin Completion of Transport Category Aircraft accomplished under Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority STC projects. Act as customer advocate and single point of contact for customers and executive management team during build, completion, and delivery of aircraft. The Program Manager’s core objective is to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to directly support corporate and commercial objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Within a multi-function, matrix organization, leads all systems for integrated project scheduling, planning, and project control to optimize resource allocation and cost and schedule requirements for the program.
- Ensures that all influencing production and engineering organizations including the executive, leadership and cost account management groups have cohesive and common visibility to the department demands to enable proper prioritization and/or staffing decisions.
- Develops integrated management framework and processes for project planning and execution phases across all internal departments and across multiple Comlux project teams to ensure manageable demand to common resource centers.
- Prepares plans, reports and presentations to communicate to the customer and leadership the program performance status measured against commercial, technical and aesthetic design requirements.
- Leads the development of and administers the master program schedule and supporting budgets.
- Provides and/or coordinates the commercial interface to key program subcontractors.
- Contributes to, refines and develops internal operating procedures under the charter of continuous improvement and corporate development.
- Endeavors to develop standardize and generate all forms of customer communication for adherence to a Comlux corporate standard for all completion projects and peer program managers.
- Coordinate with all customer representatives in an ongoing manner during the life of the program.
- Contribute to the performance review of various key positions within the organization from direct experience obtained in the execution of the duties of a program manager.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and elevate issues appropriate for executive management involvement.
- Develop and issue final project executive report that includes financial, technical and operational performance with detailed recommendations for executive management complete with deficiencies and corrective actions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in an STC environment for business or private aircraft completions or modifications on Transport Category Aircraft and associated production processes. Boeing or Airbus experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
- Computer skills with basic knowledge of MS Office software programs.
- 8+ years in a technical or customer support position;
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent level of directly related experience.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in Project Planning and Management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient knowledge and expertise with all aspects of the completion process.
- Experience implementing management and administration tools, systems, and training for project control, tracking and reporting.
- Civil Aviation Regulatory experience with 14 CFR Part 91, Part 145 and/or Part 135 operations.
- Strong knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft completions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with high-end customers.
- Ability to effectively set and achieve realistic outcomes while working in a high demand service oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate in an assertive yet professional, motivating and tactful manner.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.

The location where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which is subject to weather changes, constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material and other safety hazards such as aircraft, steps, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets etc.
