We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our engineering team. In this challenging and diverse role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will:
1. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
2. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
3. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
4. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
5. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
6. Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to receive the best possible pricing.
7. Manage and coordinate commercial projects, ensuring they are on schedule and within scope.
8. Monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.
9. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
10. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
11. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum five years of experience in project management, specifically within the construction or engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
4. Proficiency in project management software tools, techniques, and methodologies.
5. Experience in managing budgets, coordinating teams, and overseeing IT project management.
6. Demonstrated experience in commercial projects and construction management.
7. Familiarity with Epicor or equivalent software.
8. Solid understanding of project management principles and knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
9. Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.
10. Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
11. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
