Position Overview
The Project Manager serves as an Owner’s Representative, safeguarding client interests in real estate and building projects, while also managing budgets, contractors, and timelines. Additionally, the role ensures proper documentation to support capital improvements in compliance with trust regulations.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the selection of design professionals and consultants.
- Coordinate and document client and vendor meetings.
- Create, manage, and report detailed project budgets and summaries.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy against quotes and contracts.
- Maintain property books and trust-related documentation.
- Source, vet, and manage contracts with vendors and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, confidentiality, and background checks.
- Oversee safety, security, and site professionalism.
- Monitor timelines, critical paths, and project milestones.
- Maintain detailed project notes and change order logs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and household staff.
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Project Management.
- Travel to project sites as needed to ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead the safety program, conduct OSHA compliance checks, and maintain updated safety handbooks.
- Ensure properties are equipped with necessary safety materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5–10 years managing custom, high-end residential projects.
- Valid driver’s license required; MA Construction Supervisor’s License preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
- Understanding of OSHA and hazardous material handling.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying climates, with flexibility to travel extensively.
