We are looking for a responsible Project Manager to administer and organize aquatics projects, from simple activities to more complex plans.
ResponsibilitiesProject Manager responsibilities include working closely with our on-site Superintendents, Construction Managers, field Foreman, Operations Manager, Chief Estimator and Project Coordinator to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. As a member of the project team, the Project Manager is responsible for preparing project budgets, project schedules, purchase orders, team meetings, cost analysis and safety control. Also included would be working with the GC to develop relationships, efficiencies, resource allocations and monthly billings. Ultimately, the Project Manager duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
•Organizing, attending and participating in meetings.
•Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
•Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
•Ensuring project deadlines are met.
•Providing administrative support as needed.
•Undertaking project tasks as required.
•Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
•Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
•Ensure management views are managed towards the best solution.
•Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
•Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
•Ensures all data placed in the historical database is accurate.
- Becomes proficient in all computer software programs used.
- The majority of the work is completed in an office setting at the main office.
- Completes work on time in a professional and competitive manner.
- Maintains positive relations with clients, general contractors, and the community.
- Communicates effectively with team members.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Strong computer skills including the ability to use software, word processing, spread sheets, bid management and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
- Project Management experience, construction experience, educational experience or any combination of the three.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Local candidates to the Tacoma/Fife, Washington area are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Prior pool or construction experience.
- Possess good organizational and management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to develop new skills and knowledge quickly.
- Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.
- Possess the ability to assist in managing a commercial construction project.
- Must be able to view things from an owner/developer's perspective and present accordingly.
- Must be able to work in and/or with an organized team.
