Job Summary:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to manage day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring the successful design, execution, and commissioning of industrial projects. This role offers hands-on involvement, including installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of equipment at project sites. Responsibilities span the project lifecycle, including submittal documentation, vendor inspections, and comprehensive reporting.
Job Duties:
- Develop detailed engineering designs for small to medium projects, including process flow diagrams, pipe sizing, instrumentation selection, and pump/control valve sizing. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Prepare and manage engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, BOMs, O&M manuals, fabrication drawings, FAT documents, and vendor documentation.
- Issue RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, and recommend selections to the Project Manager or supervisor.
- Process equipment and electrical/control purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and draft CAR or NCR documentation as needed.
- Supervise equipment fabrication, including system modules, enclosures, tanks, and vessels; document results with inspection reports and photos.
- Coordinate shipping logistics for equipment and materials between vendors and customers.
- Oversee field equipment startup and commissioning, maintaining detailed logs, records, and reports.
- Maintain and communicate project status through reports, meeting minutes, and action lists.
- Stay informed about technical advancements and recommend new products or vendors for enhanced efficiency.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety plans, striving to exceed client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- 3–5 years of project engineering experience with increasing responsibility in managing engineering projects.
- Experience with utility boilers, industrial furnaces, and related equipment is essential.
