As Project Engineer your will oversee the progress of each assigned project and estimate, by coordinating the efforts of estimators, engineers, and project superintendents, to achieve the targeted growth and profit goals of the region.

Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position, up to 50% of the time, encompassing work sites in the assigned project area and will include some overnight travel. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will also be provided.
Responsibilities:Maintain strong and open relationships with owners, clients, government agencies, and trade associations.
Assure constant communication between all estimators, engineers, and project superintendents.
Assemble and review estimates before reviewing with the Estimating Manager.
Attend weekly project meetings with the owner and take notes.
Approve and code all invoices on assigned projects. Return these to the Contract Manager for approval.
Make sure that project schedules are updated weekly.
Assure that job forecasts and cost to complete are updated.
Assure that all monthly billings are done on time and are correct.
Utilize approved collecting practices to collect payments due to the company in a timely manner.
Complete project management from estimate to project closeout.
Negotiate additional compensation from the owner for change orders or a change of conditions. Document the status of all work in progress to assure the company is compensated for all work performed.
Purchase, or direct the purchasing, of all estimated materials and subcontracted work in an efficient and cost efficient manner.
Assist superintendent in assuring overall project and site safety is in compliance.
Maintain a safe/clean work site.
Hold weekly toolbox safety meetings and site inspections.
Monitor safety practices of sub-contractors and hold them to ACC’s standards.
Only allow employees to work only if they have the proper PPE and are physically able to perform the work safely.
Teaching safe work habits.
Coordinate with General Superintendents so that field superintendents have the necessary information necessary to maintain the projects on schedule and within budget.
Periodically inspect your projects to keep physically updated on their condition, and assure that it is constructed as bid and planned.
Follow and enforce all company policies and discuss any need for change with the Contract/Estimating Manager.
Review project cost summary and labor reports to assure project is within budget.
Qualifications
- A degree in a construction related program or similar in -field experience.
- Completion of First-Aid, CPR and Competent Person Training as outlined Company Safety Policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of financial management and accounting principals.

- Ability to lift items weighing 30 pounds and navigate unstable soil while performing daily job tasks.
