Day-to-Day Duties May Include:
- Planning, strategizing and executing projects for new product development and sustaining initiatives.
- Following all FDA regulations, ISO standards, customer requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as defined by company policies and procedures.
- Working with customers to create quotes for new manufacturing and development business opportunities.
- Conducting qualification and validation activities for process design and development, design of devices, and research of concepts.
- Working closely with the operations team to complete new product launches.
- Authoring and executing change orders, engineering project plans, and development plans.
- Communicating project status updates at regularly scheduled management team meetings and customer drumbeats.
- Designing and building or facilitating the purchase of manufacturing equipment, both automated and manual, for the purpose of assembly, packaging, quality assurance, testing or facility improvement.
- Identifying opportunities for cost, lead time, inventory, and defect reduction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and leading or managing small to medium sized projects required.
- Medical device industry experience or experience within a highly regulated environment required.
- CNC experience preferred.
- Plastics experience preferred.
- Computer skills: CAD, project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and statistical analysis.
