Job Overview:Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the Project Engineer is responsible for capital equipment projects from order receipt until shipment and final documentation. The Project Engineer will review project requirements, develop design plans for Design Engineering, created and review submittal and manufacturing documents to ensure on-time project completion.
Responsibilities:- Modify and create 3D CAD models and drawings
- Create and modify Bills-of-Materials in CAD and MER/ERP
- Create and revise project documentation as required per the supplier document list (SDL)
- Work as a liaison between departments, suppliers and the customer to address project design requirements
- Review projects proposals and customer specification to develop project plans and objectives
- Review product designs to ensure they meet project specifications and are incompliance with industry regulations
- Work with Design Engineering to ensure on-time completion of design work and that designs meet project specifications
- Oversee testing and address non-conforming material (NCM) issues
- Domestic and foreign travel to meet with customers and suppliers
- Professional experience w/ 3D CAD software, SOLIDWORKS preferred, creating models, assemblies and drawings
- Advanced MS Office Suite
- Knowledge and experience in machine design, preferably engineered-to-order
- Skilled in time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 + years of related experience
- EIT/PE preferred
Environmental Safety Requirements
- New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
- All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Manager
- Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, dust masks and face masks. Failure to comply with ACD safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
