bout the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has an a great opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible to handle all technical aspects of an order, from the moment it is handed from sales to the moment it is delivered to the customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Field Sales, Customer(s), and factories effectively.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the applications, the OEMs, etc.
- Accurately receive and review Purchase Order (as needed).
- Generate order entry material.
- Organize all quotation/order documentation electronically and hard copies (if needed).
- Assist Project Coordinator / Manager technically as needed.
- Consistently mentor and train junior team members and Project Managers on the technical aspect of our products.
- Serve as team leader, in the absence of the Supervisor or Manager.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university or university program certificate, or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge / training:
- Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering.
- Technical experience and Knowledge of Electrical machines and their applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Outlook.
Experience:
- 3 years experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience.
