Job Overview:
In the role of the Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and be responsible for the on-time deliveries and on-budget performance of all projects, which typically involve everything from proposal generation to system hand over. This role will require the individual to be on-site for the training period and will be remote once training is done.
Job Responsibilities:
· Manage entire projects from proposal generation to hand-over, including equipment engineering, supply chain/procurement, installation/commissioning, and any other site activities
· Provide technical support to the sales team for the creation of proposals, including the review of specifications, customizations, and system recommendations
· Accompany sales reps on sales meetings to provide technical recommendations and support closure discussions
· Obtain bids and select reliable sub-vendors
· Frequently interact with Engineering and Supply Chain departments globally, as well as with local Sales and Service teams
· Operate and negotiate independently within policies, procedures, and directives
· Coordinate all project related activities and communication and ensure they occur in a time frame necessary for a successful project
· Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire project
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
· Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience
· Experience reading and modifying engineering drawings using Auto-CAD
· Experience interacting with vendors and customers.
· Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% (if needed)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bulk Material Handling industry experience
· Understanding of conveyor equipment in an industrial/manufacturing environment
· Experience working in a mining, cement, fertilizer, or shipping port environment
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
· Strong commercial and negotiating skills
· Proficient with MS Project and Primavera P6
· Able to work independently and also in a team
