Job Summary:
This position will perform litigation-support duties for VUMC lawsuits, and will also handle other potentially litigation-related tasks, along with other duties as assigned.

Position Duties:
+ Assist defense attorneys with discovery and interrogatory responses, including all data gathering and compilation.
+ Guide medical record procurement for Clinical Risk Manager, Plaintiff attorney, Defense attorney, and VUMC expert witnesses.
+ Introduce defense attorney(s) and witnesses involved in VUMC litigation in anticipation of interviews by defense attorneys.
+ Collaborate with VUMC employees desiring to serve as expert witnesses in non-VUMC litigation to determine if their participation presents a conflict to VUMC.
+ Check ORIM databases to determine if VUMC employees requested for deposition present any liability concerns of conflicts to VUMC interests.
+ Run reports from Origami and validate data prior to release or presentation ((example -Self-Insurance Trust Committee semiannual meetings).
+ Receive and validate legal bills from defense firms with CRM, document activity, and send to Coordinator for payment.
