About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
- Assist in developing and implementing the student recruitment plan for the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
- Facilitate and support the accomplishment of established University recruitment, engagement, and retention goals.
- Assist in tracking recruiting efforts to adjust the recruitment plan accordingly.
- Speak publicly to groups on and off campus to promote the College and its entities.
- Travel to various off-campus recruiting events, and actively participate and engage with guests at both off-campus and on-campus events.
- Help coordinate Davis College activities and participation at university hosted recruitment events to include University Days, Red Raider Experience, Raider Roadshows, group tours, Connect Tech, Techsan Preview Days, etc.
- Work closely with TTU Admissions to maintain high standards for recruitment protocols.
- Coordinate receptions and functions for various conventions: Texas FFA, National FFA, Texas 4-H Roundup, the State Fair of Texas, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and etc.
- Develop and foster relationships with high school and community college counselors, teachers, and other strategic partners for recruiting.
- Help coordinate correspondence to high school prospective/transfer students.
- Coordinate and provide tours and college information to prospective students, families, groups, and special guests of the college.
- Update and revise brochures, fliers, and other types of publications associated with recruitment. Place orders and maintain inventory of recruitment materials.
- Recruit, manage, and supervise all activities of the Davis College Agri-Techsans, including coordinating their travel.
- Work closely with the Agricultural Consortium of Texas to coordinate state-wide and out-of-state student recruiting efforts.
- Serve as one of the Dean’s office liaisons to the College Recruitment, Retention, and Career Development Committee.
- Assist with planning and conducting Red Raider Orientation.
- Assist in maintaining the College website by providing updated information to the webmaster, assist office staff in answering telephones and greeting visitors when needed.

- Cross-train on job duties of other staff members associated the SSC and gain a broad knowledge of each function within the center. Perform some of the other job duties in the SSC when needed.
