Pay Range:$135,000 - $195,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About this role: Tendeg is looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our team. This Program Manager will be providing leadership and supervision in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, system analysis, and detailed design, analysis, integration and test, plus orbit operations.
We are looking for a Program Manager that will support one of the following programs:
- INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models.
- 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.
- Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security.
What you'll do:
- This Program Manager will be providing leadership and supervision in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, system analysis, and detailed design, analysis, integration and test, plus orbit operations.
- Work closely with other contractors/teammates in meeting customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with other technical program leads and diverse domain expertise.
- Allocate driving requirements (both cost and technical).
- Allocate key trades (both cost and technical).
Key Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years of demonstrated relevant experience program managing technical Space hardware missions for Commercial, Defense, Restricted, or NASA satellites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, or Business
- Strong systems engineering and technical management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new business opportunities and execute demanding flight programs
- Proven track record of success working in the IC and/or with Prime Contractors to deliver operational systems
- Experience with all phases of the program life-cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations)
- System design experience, balancing performance, emerging technologies, schedule, risk and cost.
- Ability to perform trade studies and parametric analyses.
- Evaluation of existing and emerging technologies.
- Ability to develop, review and negotiate procurement documents (specification, SOW) and manage subcontracts.
- Ability to conceive and develop configurable products across a diverse set of customer needs.
- Experience working closely with customers to help refine their needs and provide innovative and competitive solutions.
- Ability to execute flight programs that meet technical and cost obligations.
