Program Financial Analyst (Public Trust) - Connsci

About the Job
Connsci is seeking a Program Financial Analyst for a potential upcoming project for a government client. This individual will be key personnel on a large IT program related to Marketing and Regulatory Programs. Specifically, this individual will be tasked to:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly allocation and expenditure reports
- Perform variance analysis reports comparing actuals to budget
- Reconcile financial expenses in financial systems reports
- Complete audit preparation and support documentation
- Discuss financial status with the directorates
- Develop annual budget proposals and perform long-term financial planning and analysis
- Monitor budget on an ongoing basis and make adjustment recommendations as needed
- Perform mid-year budget reviews and updates
- Conduct economic impact assessments for IT systems
- Perform financial risk assessments
- Implement and monitor internal controls
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with preference for degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management, financial analysis, or accounting
- At least 2 years of experience with government budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and regulation
- At least two years of experience with data analysis tools to include Excel
- Active Public Trust clearance per Federal stipulation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in support of IT projects or portfolios
