DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management of all facets of a 32-bed MICA OMH licensed community residence. This includes; the recruitment, training and management of all staff including professional and non-professional; the planning, evaluation and adjustment of program service delivery to meet clients needs in a respectful and holistic way; writing monthly program reports and annual reports for funding sources; maintaining census. Responsible for overall milleau management and creating an environment for clients to succeed in achieving their mental health and housing goals. Quality assurance and ensuring compliance with funding source regulations. Responsible for 24-hour operations, which will include staffing, security and building services. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Develop strong working relationships with external providers, to ensure client care. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full-time position 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday; 9:00a - 5:30p
QUALIFICATIONS:
LMSW with 2 years management experience, LCSW or LMHC. If an MSW, must obtain license within 6 months. Two or more years of supervisory experience with this population. Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to coordinate services in a complicated organizational environment. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
BRC's Casa de Los Vecinos is a transitional community residence targeting formerly homeless clients who are either mentally ill or dually diagnosed as mentally ill and chemically addicted. Funded and licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health with additional funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Casa de Los Vecinos is located on Manhattan's Lower East Side and has a capacity of 32 beds. The mission of the program is to provide a safe and supportive environment where residents take part in rehabilitation interventions that will assist them in the attainment of their work, social and community living goals. A variety of services are available, including case management, substance abuse groups, medication monitoring, daily skills training and recreational activities.
