About the Job
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Program Coordinator for our LIHEAP/USF Outreach program in Newark, NJ.
Job Duties:
- Coordinates and integrates services for LIHEAP/USF Program.
- Maintains accountability for professional standards within his or her area of supervision and implements policies and procedures for these areas.
- Delivers services within the scope of the service delivery area in order to improve client and program outcomes. The Program Coordinator is
- Charged with overseeing the implementation of all program activities and services to ensure program outcomes.
- Develops relationships with local social services and public benefit agencies, shelters and faith-based and community-based organizations serving low-income, at risk and homeless families.
- Participates in conferences, workshops, special projects, and staff meetings,
- Helps individuals and families to apply and obtain LIHEAP/USF benefits.
- Provides outreach sessions, visit buildings, agencies and other locations where client can be helped.
- Manages time and works independently.
- Supervises Case Managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field
- Supervisory experience
- Bilingual preferred
