Responsibilities
- Provide program analyses and technical updates on Bureau/Mission program activities to ensure that activities are efficiently and effectively implemented in a manner that achieves the objectives of the U.S. Government.
- Research and provide technical support for studies, analyses, and related mission and programmatic support, including administrative and financial tracking.
- Support planning and procurement of program and development assistance activities, including supporting and/or advising on the preparation of statements of work, project designs, and strategic plans.
- Conduct analyses of development indicators and trends to support program design and strategy development.
- Monitor the implementation of program activities with emphasis on identifying constraints, issues, logistical needs, and dependencies of specific inputs.
- Plan and participate in program assessments and evaluations.
- Coordinate technical meetings, workshops and learning sessions.
- Analyze and prepare technical updates on budget and field support tracking. Support documentation and tracking for new and ongoing awards.
- Provide technical advice on the feasibility, appropriateness, and value of proposed changes in planned activities.

- Prepare and present program reports, presentations, and success stories.
- Support USAID liaison and coordination efforts with other donors, NGOs, civil society groups, government officials, USAID staff, and other actors.
- Support USAID staff overseas.
- Provide records maintenance and other duties as assigned related to area(s) of responsibility. Help prepare, update, identify, organize, analyze, schedule and maintain office wide tasks and areas such as project/program tracking, data analysis and documentation; program document preparation and presentations; technical presentations, budget, including travel and field support tracking.
- Provide regular and timely status reports to internal management team, including administrative functions as needed, such as maintaining files and records, coordinating office communications, portfolio review support, management systems support, handling information requests, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
- Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.
- Provide Washington-based backstop, limited field support, and general administrative support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional office work experience required in administrative support and analytical experience.
- Experience in project administration and management procedures preferred.
- Experience in the use of database application and presentation software is very desirable.
- Active secret clearance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
- Experience with project administration and management procedures preferred.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.
- Effective interpersonal skills, especially with senior leadership.
- Experience with the use of database applications and presentation software is very desirable.
- Ability to travel throughout the Middle East.
- Knowledge of development programs, especially in the Middle East region is desirable.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, internet search engines, and e-mail applications.
- Willingness to work in Washington, DC at least 3 times per week.
- Effective interpersonal skills, especially with senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and on teams.
