Job Title: Profit Protection Specialist, Business Insights
FLSA Status: Hourly
Reports To: Profit Protection Manager
Reporting to the Profit Protection Manager, the Profit Protection Specialist position is responsible for helping protect company assets and increasing profitability through analyzing, reporting and providing solutions key profitability opportunities through the use of Exception Reporting systems and Asset Protection technological best practices. This position is accountable for day to day researching and resolving problems contributing to point of sale losses, providing training and development, assisting with program development, building reporting mechanisms and communicating best practices, all in an effort to optimize and protect the profitability of Festival Foods.
External Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively applies Asset Protection knowledge with business acumen to identify operational opportunities in order to reduce avoidable losses
- Partners with various parts of the Asset Protection Team, to effectively carry out profit improvement initiatives and develop best practices.
- Executes programs that impact shrink results, minimize loss, and effectively increase profits, including but not limited to Cash Variances, Exception Reporting, Cashier Error, Routine and Solution-Based Audits, etc.
- Provides and analyzes information designed to increase profits and achieve planned results through use of advanced software, including:
- SMS-LOC Pricing Database
- Point of Sale Exception Reporting
- Camera Systems
- Maintains a continual sense of systems and procedural revision by analyzing current operating practices and implementing changes
- Regular use of camera system components and functionality to accomplish related results as necessary.
- Contributes to team effort by assisting in related loss-reducing programs as needed.
- Assists in additional projects as identified by Profit Protection Manager, Business Insights.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
- Directly reports to Profit Protection Manager
Organization Relationships:
- Directly works with Profit Protection team and store leaders to build AP best practices integrate within operational goals
- Provides direct support to department managers with solution based training
- Works in conjunction with the Asset Protection department to carry out loss management concepts
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 Years of professional or relevant experience. Front End Operations and/or Retail Asset Protection familiarity preferred.
- Professional, positive, energetic attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Dependable work ethic, excellent organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities/projects concurrently.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, through all levels of the business.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information and assess situations in order to reach resolution.
- Ability to embrace and lead change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to bring projects to completion through motivation for results.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and OneNote.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position is officed out of the Festival Foods Green Bay Support Office.
- Primary duties involve sitting at a computer at least 80% of the time.
- Professional presence and proper phone etiquette is required.
WORK SCHEDULE
The Profit Protection position is a full time, hourly position scheduled 40 hours per week. The work schedule will include mornings, early afternoons, and holidays as needed. Only in special circumstances will evening training be required.
