Production Manager - Heavy Manufacturing - Base Salary to 120k/year - Lewisville, TX

• Our client, a well-established Building Products manufacturer is currently seeking a Production Manager at their busy fabrication facility (light and heavy fabrication, miscellaneous metals, mostly mild steel) in the Lewisville, TX area. Our client has 70+ years of experience supporting a wide range of markets.
• In this role, the Production Manager oversees, assigns work, coaches and facilitates the group (approx. 30 people. & growing) for continuous and efficient production in desired quantity and quality according to customer requirements. This is an onsite day shift position, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Assign work re: volume, cost, quality & timing of production
• Ensure a proactive, compliant safety culture & good housekeeping
• Communicate effectively and regularly with the team coaching, career progress, company news, objectives, corrections, etc.
• Ensure delivery of KPIs (service levels, customer experience, quality, shipping, maintenance, etc.)
• Train the work group and help identify training needs
• Ensure that the work group has the necessary resources & work across departments to resolve maintenance, production and/or quality issues.
• Maintain production records/ reporting and adhere to budgets (MS Office)
• Conduct performance evaluations, assist in recruitment & staff development
• Coordinate flow of work within & between departments per priorities
• Partner with supply chain to ensure appropriate flow of materials.
• Recommend improvements to production, equipment, and quality (Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma helpful!)

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Production Management preferred
• 5+ years of Manufacturing leadership (systems and processes) including supervisory experience (employee hiring, retention, performance reviews, discipline, coaching, leadership, employee training and development) & Production planning/ Inventory Management
• Ability to plan for over a 30-day time span with action steps
• Ability to utilize reporting dashboards for performance goals/ standards
• Able to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
• Strong computer (MS Office) skills are a plus.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 95k - 120k/year range
