We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our thriving food manufacturing team. This role will be instrumental in leading our production processes, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving production processes, coordinating all aspects of production scheduling, and overseeing the production team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the food manufacturing process to ensure efficiency and quality.
2. Develop and implement production schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet established deadlines.
3. Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
4. Lead, mentor, and develop production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
5. Implement and manage production KPIs, ensuring that they align with the company's strategic objectives.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new production processes and monitor their effectiveness.
8. Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure necessary materials are available for production.
9. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with production planning and scheduling.
4. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
6. In-depth knowledge of production management and quality control standards.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
9. Strong computer skills, particularly with software related to production management and scheduling.
10. Detailed understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
11. Lean Six Sigma certification or other process improvement methodologies would be an advantage.
12. Bilingual is strongly preferred.
