Must be able to complete Form I-9 upon hire.Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and refine existing manufacturing processes to boost productivity.
- Guide and mentor teams in implementing lean methodologies and standardizing procedures.
- Collaborate with production facilities to minimize equipment downtime effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies that ensure maximum equipment availability in high-output environments.
- Lead preventative maintenance initiatives for production machinery.
- Support the management of equipment spare parts inventory.
- Contribute to the design and acquisition of new machinery and tools.
- Play a pivotal role in the introduction of new models and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial or Electrical/Automation fields, or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Bring at least three years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a preference for those with stamping expertise.
- Skilled in optimizing machine operations and diagnosing technical issues to find root causes.
- Exceptional communication abilities to train both hourly and salaried personnel.
- Self-motivated and capable of independently managing projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to provide support across various shifts in a seven-day operational cycle.
- Exhibit exemplary leadership qualities, including strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
Desirable Attributes:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Experience with robotic systems and interpress transfers, such as ABB, Fanuc, or Gudel.
- Familiarity with stamping and press machinery.
- Background in managing heavy equipment, spare parts, or materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with vision systems, particularly Cognex, is highly valued.
- Competence in PLC programming.
- Experience with lean implementation strategies.
- Skills in using AutoCAD.
