Position summary:
The Production Coordinator is responsible for purchasing, managing, and coordinating the flow of raw materials and monitoring the final product throughout the production process from start to finish. This role acts as a key liaison between production and the product manager while also serving as the document control administrator and overseeing ISO 9001. The coordinator will manage document flow, create and maintain procedures, format documents using Microsoft Office and SharePoint, and collaborate with Engineers, Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S to ensure all documentation is current.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily staff meetings to address concerns and suggest improvements.
- Schedule production activities, manage process orders, track material movements in SAP, reconcile inventory, and monitor yields.
- Plan and procure raw materials and packaging supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Oversee production inventory using Excel and SAP.
- Purchase production, safety, and QC supplies.
- Receive materials, supplies, and packages into the facility.
- Coordinate material movements by working with suppliers and managing production schedule changes.
- Communicate with operations during off-hours to address shipment updates.
- Audit production areas to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Complete "End of Month" production tasks for accurate reporting to accounting.
- Manage document control in SharePoint, including creating, updating, and uploading files.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001
- Report the Quality Management System's status to site leadership.
- Perform administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, managing mail, and coordinating meeting lunches.
- Support operations and administrative teams as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Participate in EOC(Emergency Operations Center) for all emergencies at the site.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and SAP.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A valid driver's license is required.
