About the Role:
The Product Quality Engineer will ensure that the products produced meet all quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction, ensuring that procedures and processes are adhering to the Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases. This person will be using appropriate quality assurance techniques and ensuring that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved. Lead initiatives for better process development and continuous improvement activities by way of high throughput data, interpretive testing and modeling. Work to build a strong partnership with all departments responsible for sustaining product development and manufacturing through integrative risk management, data analysis / interpretation, engineering / scientific first principles and cross training. Plan, control and assure product and process quality through implementation of quality principles, which include material control, acceptance sampling and measurement systems.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for participating in design and process development projects and assuring that design process and manufacturing process meets all requirements.
Responsible for writing and execution of in-house process and/or method validations and the SOPs developed. This includes assisting in the design and development of processes and/or measurement system methods and tooling for the test and inspection of the manufacturing process and products.
Responsible for working with suppliers, where necessary, in supplier validation and qualification activities.
Responsible for assisting in complaint investigations as related to product quality.
Responsible for assisting in internal and external audits where requested.
Responsible for working with other engineering departments to develop and interpret data control methodologies for establishing critical process variables for continuous improvements.
Responsible for completing routine technical training ranging from the implementation of a quality system to data processing and interpretation modeling.
Responsible for establishing and reporting quality goals and metrics to all levels of the company as well as implementing action plans to meet the quality goals.
Responsible for assisting other Quality Engineers in providing technical assistance in investigations, data handling techniques, and report writing.
Assist in the training and mentoring of other Quality Engineers.
