Title: Product Marketing Engineer
(Magnetics)
Reports To: Director, TDK Magnetics Product Marketing
Summary: Works with factories and sales personnel in promoting, designing in and providing technical support for magnetics products including Transformers, Inductors and EMC components for various market segments.
Responsibilities:
- Work with sales personnel in setting business development targets (customers and applications) for magnetics products.
- Meet and communicate with customers to identify applications technical requirements, design specifications and component level specifications for TDK solution development.
- Collaborate with factories and TDK engineering groups overseas to develop products and solutions (Transformers and Inductors) to meet customer and application requirements.
- Formulate and communicate solutions to customers in a timely and efficient manner and support technically in coordination with sales personnel, TDK engineering groups and factories.
- Collaborate with the Magnetics marketing team in developing market trends analysis, benchmarking, and business budget planning as required.
- Support and work with related functions as required in events such as Quality and delivery related inquiries or issues.
- Contribute to regular technical product trainings to sales personnel, customers.
- Participate and support related promotional industry events (industry Conferences, product showcases, etc.)
Education: BSEE with emphasis on magnetic products design and manufacturing (Transformers and inductors)
Experience/Requirements:
- 2– 3year of relevant experience in technical product marketing
- Experience in Switch-Mode Power Systems (topologies, circuit analysis, component performance, agency requirements, etc.) preferred.
- Automotive industry standards knowledge preferred
- Transformer product development and Ferrite materials knowledge required (DC-DC, AC-DC)
- Requires approximately 20% travel domestic and international travel.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position requires the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and cell phone. Most work is completed in an office environment.
