We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Procurement Manager with fluency in Mandarin Chinese to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our procurement activities, ensuring that all aspects of the procurement process are conducted efficiently and effectively. The role involves a high level of interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders, requiring a professional with excellent negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of supply chain management. Proficiency in SAP, supplier performance evaluation, and experience with non-perishable goods are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and purchasing goods.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the needs of various departments.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring that suppliers meet our standards of quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company.
• Oversee the operations and daily activities of the procurement department.
• Implement and manage risk mitigation strategies in the procurement process.
• Utilize SAP for procurement and supply chain management tasks.
• Liaise with Mandarin-speaking partners, utilizing fluency in Mandarin Chinese to ensure clear and effective communication.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends and potential impact on procurement activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably in a management capacity.
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
• Proven experience using SAP for procurement and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing supplier performance and developing procurement strategies.
• Knowledge and experience dealing with non-perishable goods.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a cost-conscious mindset.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and provide insights for decision making.
