About the Job
The DC Procurement Manager is responsible for owning the strategy & execution of the procurement of indirect materials & services for the North American distribution network. The Purchasing manager will be primary point of contact for all vendors, manage cost savings initiatives, and delivery of supplies with 100% accountability for the North American supply budget. This role will also have indirect reports across the network to support managing inventory levels at all of the sites.
Responsibilities:- Owns the development of the analytics and creation of new reporting to drive improved on time delivery and deliver cost savings of supplies for the North American distribution network.
- Responsible for providing direction to all onsite DC planners to ensure the proper management of supply inventory levels to prevent shortages.
- Is the SME (subject-matter-expert) for the DC’s supply strategy to standardize materials to aggregate volume across the network to drive better pricing year over year.
- Responsible for indirectly managing the team responsible for executing the procurement of MRO supplies at each facility ensuring on time delivery of material and consistent cost reduction projects.
- Must partner with other Global procurement team to develop purchasing strategies to help define a best-in-class indirect material process that is consistent across the entire network
- Owns developing and managing vendor relationships including contract management & renewal in partnership with legal.
- Must develop tools to be able to track historical trends and seasonality of SKU’s and provide forecast to vendors for indirect materials.
- Drive continuous improvement strategies within department and across the entire network.
- Communicate issues or problems quickly to site directors and operations managers.
- Assist in resolving issues and solving problems by making suggestions and partnering with supervisors, operations managers and other departments.

- Required to sit (stationary position) at a computer workstation and/or desk for a full shift.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required communicate using various methods.
- Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 5 – 25 pounds constantly and up to 65 pounds occasionally.
- Must have ability to reach above/below shoulder level for up to two-thirds of a full shift and also perform tasks involving repetitive motion for a full shift.
- Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field or 4+ years of indirect procurement experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Data analytics, and/or Finance/Accounting preferred
- Must have strong excel experience, and ability to analyze large amounts of data required
- Certifications in data analytics, APICs, Lean manufacturing, and/or 6-sigma preferred
- Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Experience with WM (warehouse management) systems, specifically Manhattan preferred
- Experience designing and implementing replenishment strategies preferred
- Strong experience building reporting in Power BI, excel, SQL, and/or python highly preferred
- High level language, presentation, and math skills required
The annual base salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
