Position Overview
As a Processing Operator, you will play a vital role in various manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for multiple tasks within production, including inbound operations, milling, mixing, die rolling, and oven operations. This position reports to the shift managers and offers potential rotation through different areas after proper training.
Key Responsibilities
Mill and Mixing Rooms / Die Roll:
- Schedule and batch commodities/meat slurry into accurate mixes delivered through hammer mill, mixing, and screening systems.
- Perform preventive and downtime maintenance, assisting with equipment upgrades and improvements.
- Accurately complete quality checks and documentation without errors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Promote teamwork and self-management within the team.
- Conduct QC tasks such as metal checks, date code inspections, item number verification, and dump logs.
- Operate processing equipment efficiently and accurately.
Ovens:
- Operate oven/dryer equipment efficiently while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Complete reports accurately and on time.
- Work with QA to address any product issues and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor all oven operations, reporting any downtimes to supervisors.
- Meet or exceed plant productivity goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
- Minimum 3 years of production experience required.
- Reliable transportation and stable work history.
- Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, GHOP, HACCP, and SPC principles.
- Ability to work in environments with temperature fluctuations, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of materials over 50 lbs.
- Work conducted outdoors in various weather conditions or in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hairnets, bump caps, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniforms.
- Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and focus.
