Process Engineer - Gear Manufacturing - TekPro Engineering

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our aerospace and defense gear manufacturing team. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and managing precision gear manufacturing processes, requiring expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies and industry-specific quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and improve manufacturing processes for gear cutting, grinding, hobbing, and finishing.
• Optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality while ensuring compliance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Ensure processes meet AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to enhance manufacturability.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure high-quality materials and components.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years of process engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with gear manufacturing processes like hobbing, grinding, and CNC machining.
• Knowledge of industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and GD&T.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CAD software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
