Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 per year

Position Overview:
A premier player in the refining and chemical industry is looking for a Process Control Engineer skilled in DeltaV and advanced control systems. The ideal candidate has a stable work history, 3+ years in process control, and experience in refining or chemical manufacturing. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, though TN1 visa holders will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Development:
- Design and implement innovative solutions to complex process control challenges.
- Conduct feasibility studies, analyze project scopes, and establish technical criteria.
- Ensure project designs are compliant with industry and safety standards.
Advanced Control Projects:
- Lead projects focused on optimizing control systems, DCS, Multivariable Control (MVC), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Manage and tune instrument and control systems to enhance refinery unit performance.
Project Management:
- Oversee project scopes, timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
- Define clear objectives and execute control strategies that align with refinery operations.
Technical Guidance & Mentorship:
- Provide guidance to engineering teams and mentor new engineers in industry best practices.
- Ensure teams are informed of technology developments and control methodologies.
System Maintenance:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Process Control System operations, ensuring reliable functionality of DCS and MVC systems.
- Implement control strategies that support continuous operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering required. Extensive controls experience (8+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in process control engineering within refining/chemical industries.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in DeltaV, DCS/PLC configuration, multivariable control, and instrument tuning.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and eligibility for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
