Schedule: Five-day work week, including weekends. The family offers flexibility, alternating between two schedules: one week off on Saturday and Sunday, and the next week off on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Hours: Approximately eight (8) hours each day, with an end time of 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM.
Travel: Flexibility to travel to the family’s Hamptons home during the summer season (Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend).

Job Description:
A private family near Central Park South in Manhattan is seeking a skilled, personable, and creative Chef to prepare daily healthy meals for a family of five. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a private Chef and be well-versed in New American cuisine, with the ability to handle a variety of cooking styles, including Asian, Italian, and other international cuisines. The Chef must be able to handle all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to procurement, and keep the space immaculate.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare lunch and dinner for a family of five (mom, dad, and three daughters)
- Prepare meals for up to 12 guests during family gatherings or entertainment
- Knowledge of and experience with peanut allergies
- Focus on vegetable-forward dishes, utilizing a variety of proteins
- Menu planning and execution, including special events such as religious gatherings, fundraisers, and family dinners
- Ensure daily meal preparation is fresh, healthy, and organic (seasonal ingredients preferred)
- Procure groceries and kitchen supplies, maintaining detailed inventory lists
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including post-event clean-up
- Prepare semi-formal to casual family dinners and formal dinners when the family is entertaining
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Private Chef
- 3-5 years of experience as a Chef in top NYC restaurants
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers
- Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Creative, energetic, and versatile, with a passion for New American cuisine
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Polished, professional, and poised demeanor
- Discreet and professional at all times
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed
- Valid US work authorization
