Do you have project leadership experience in the screen printing or digital printing industry?
In this position you will rely on collaboration, training, experience, and critical thinking to champion a project from concept to completion based upon Customer expectations. With a complete understanding of our Production capabilities (and limitations) the Project Engineer is responsible for generating accurate estimates, artwork, purchase orders, masters, and work orders. This position will work closely with Sales Reps, Customers, and Production.
Responsibilities

Review and analyze all supplied information to fully understand a project.

Collaborate with Salespeople, Customers, and Production on complex projects.

Daily communication with different departments, including Management.

Demonstrate a complete understanding of blueprints and Customer drawings.

Possess and maintain knowledge of our Production Capabilities (and limitations).

Including, but not limited to, all machine and process minimums and tolerances (designs for DOL & DOF, ink lay down order, bleed, and trapping, etc.).

Function as a technical resource to other departments and co-workers to address and resolve inquiries and problems.

Preflight supplied files while paying attention to the following: loading fonts, inspecting graphics, and determining color separations (4 color process and spot colors). Convert to usable PDF's (when necessary).

Questions about new opportunities based on fit and risk (when necessary).

Generate accurate and timely estimates and artwork for all potential jobs.

Including any additional costs required to produce job (art recreation, dies, translations, etc.).

Manage Visual for Production.

Assigning die numbers, part numbers, specifications, costs, etc.

Creating purchase orders, masters, color matches, work orders, reworks, etc.

Processing ECR's

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's, or Associate degree preferred but NOT required.

Prior experience and understanding of the screen printing process is highly preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and/or decimals. Competent computing rates, ratios, percents as well as drawing and interpreting bar graphs.
