As our Principal Data Operations Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring we have the robust data foundation necessary to optimize our supply chain, enhance business performance, and elevate our customer experience.This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Performance: Collaborate with Merchandising, Tech, and Operations to provide strategic insights that will measurably enhance our business operations. Your expertise will be vital in understanding transaction data and shaping our data strategies.
- Innovate and Optimize: Lead the charge in developing and executing our Whole Foods item attribution strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to operationalize and scale solutions.
- Analyze and Validate: Dive deep into our data processes—ensuring accuracy and maximizing our data's potential through statistical checks and thorough evaluations.
- Lead Analytics Projects: Oversee significant analytics initiatives, representing the data team and ensuring alignment with our business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend new tools and technologies that drive functional improvements across the organization.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs, providing tailored support and ensuring seamless integration of data processes across departments.
- Develop Training Materials: Create and deliver training programs for team members and partners on data tools, processes, and best practices to promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Monitor Industry Standards: Conduct regular assessments of industry benchmarks and competitor practices to ensure Whole Foods Market remains at the forefront of data operations and supply chain management.
- Support Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all data processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies, providing guidance on data governance and best practices.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and encouraging a collaborative and innovative work environment.
What You Bring:
- Experience and Expertise: With a BA/BS and 6-8 years of relevant experience, you have hands-on experience in developing and optimizing data attribution, leading enterprise-level data efforts, and understanding supply chain systems.
- Big Picture Thinking: You're a visionary who can translate business needs into actionable data strategies, and you thrive in collaborative environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiar with querying and accessing data through tools like Alteryx, SQL, and AWS, you can work with large datasets and identify opportunities for automation.
- Exceptional Communication: You can convey complex data insights to senior leadership and collaborate with various teams to generate innovative solutions.
