Will you join us on the Package Development team in Cincinnati, Ohio? We could use your energy and commitment to transform patient care through innovation. We follow the J&J Flex model and work from home a few days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops packaging for new and existing medical devices under the guidance of an experienced Package Development Engineer
- Enhances and validates sterile and non-sterile package designs, components, and processes.
- Learn and optimize package process parameters in a hands-on environment.
- Evaluates new package concepts and technologies through state-of-the-art prototyping capabilities.
- Develops package testing strategies and conducts the testing to see the results firsthand in our exceptional Packaging Development Lab
- Coordinates activities associated with manufacturing and testing.
- Provides troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging related issues in manufacturing and the field.
- Participates in process improvement or task teams.
- Determines and coordinates physical testing to ensure product and package integrity for manufacturing through end users.
- Builds technical competencies in packaging materials and processes used in all manufacturing processes.
- Assure delivery of robust, cost effective, fully compliant packaging solutions that meet current and evolving customers' needs.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering or other Technical Degree ( ie Mechanical engineering)
Required:
- Generally requires 2-4 years of work experience
- You should have excellent communication skills; written and oral, technical and non-technical, so that you can collaborate with your teams and partners to achieve results.
- You will apply analytical skills and professional judgment to generate valid solutions to technical assignments.
- You will be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- You will prepare project work plans, identify timing, estimated cost, and quantity of resources required for key project activities.
- You will have proficiency in computers, technology including MS office applications.
- English Language fluency
- 10-15% International and Domestic Travel
