Summary
Supports various departments on the shop floor including but not limited to: Fabrication, Hardware insertion, Assembly, etc. OTJ + cross-training provided. Will train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.
Second Shift Hours: Mon Thursday 3:15 p.m. 1:45 a.m.
Initial training could take place on:
FIRST SHIFT: Mon Fri 7 a.m. 3:30 p.m. and/ or
SPLIT SHIFT Mon Thursday 10 a.m. 8:30 p.m.
Required Skillset for Brake Operators/Fabricators:

Required Skillset for Brake Operators/Fabricators:
- Ability to perform own setups and operate our 85 - 175 ton CNC + ATC Amada + Toyokoki Brakes (cannot be merely operators)
Top-notch print reading and interpretation skills. - Ability to work within tolerances of + .005 and degree.
Able to accurately measure and record results of part dimensions + characteristics using calipers and mics. - Ability to adjust offsets.
- Demonstrated detail orientation.
Work well independently and on a team in a Job Shop environment.
Ability to follow and retain instructions. - Familiarity with ISO procedures /quality standards is beneficial.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during the course of a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs)
- Ability to learn Hardware insertion tasks.
- Operate Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.
2-3 yrs. knowledge + experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment helpful - Mechanically inclined: able to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including rivet gun.
High attention to detail & fine tactical ability. - Pallet jack experience
- Ability to take direction; work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable/dependable attendance record.
- Contribute to team dynamics, offering solutions to move projects forward.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during the course of a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs.)
- Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
- Organizational skills.
