At Learn and Play School our Preschool Teachers bring warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom every day. We focus on encouraging children to learn, play, and grow. Our Montessori + STEM™ based curriculum promotes social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development, inspiring children to become lifelong learners. Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play
- Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
- Support your success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, growth and engagement
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
- Implement Learn and Play School + STEM™ curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child

Qualifications:
- Completed 12 core ECE Units Infant/toddler OR BA Degree in Child Development
- Openness to work 9-5pm or depending on the need of the campus.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain)
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children
- See and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
- Must be willing to change diapers and help potty train based on child’s readiness
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear, and sometimes walk and sit on the floor depending on the age of the children. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. 0 - 12 feet and on occasion up to 20 feet, such as books and supplies or student equipment and wheelchairs. Occasionally, the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person, may need to lift arms to write on chalk or marking board and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and reach 0 - 24 inches and up to 36 inches above the head. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of other people. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing ability to monitor activity and presence of students and respond to communication with students and adults is required. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
