Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook at Chick-fil-A, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, following recipe guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensuring our food quality exceeds customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about food and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and prep ingredients for various menu items, ensuring all food items are prepared to Chick-fil-A’s high standards.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the prep area clean and organized, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stocking: Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food and supplies to ensure the kitchen is stocked and ready for service.
- Follow Recipes: Adhere to company recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food items are fresh, high quality, and ready for service.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow all Chick-fil-A rules and regulations, including maintaining the company’s dress code and uniform standards at all times.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or leadership team to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during shifts, including during busy and peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous kitchen or food prep experience is a plus, but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Positive Attitude: A strong work ethic with a focus on delivering great customer experiences.
