Job Summary:
The Prep Cook at Mohican Lodge in Perrysville, Ohio is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in the lodge's restaurant. This is a full-time, individual contributor position that offers a salary of $16 per hour, paid biweekly. The Prep Cook will be an integral part of our hospitality team, ensuring that all guests are provided with high-quality meals and exceptional service.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize ingredients for the kitchen staff, ensuring that all items are fresh, properly stored, and ready for use
• Assist in cooking and preparing various dishes, including cutting, portioning, and seasoning ingredients according to recipes
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
• Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality and appearance of food
• Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless dining experience for guests
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or executive chef
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a prep cook or similar role in a hospitality or restaurant setting
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent
